I believe that sometimes war is necessary in certain cases. However, in response to the current situation at hand, I do not believe there is significant evidence that justifies our involvement in a war with Iraq. I refuse to accept the motives the current Republican administration puts forth as a justification for "daddies war." This capitalist, elitist, administration has done everything in it's power to deceive the American Public through campaigns linking Terrorism and Osama Bin Laden to Saddam Hussein. A recent poll showed half the American public actually believes Saddam Hussein was responsible for the September 11th attacks. It sickens me how two completely separate events can be linked at the whim of policy makers who have, oh wait, economic interests in the middle east. After extending my base of knowledge beyond the NY Times, CNN, or Fox News, I can no longer ethically support this war. It has crossed the line between national security into pure capitalist greed. I'm sure there are more threatening situations abroad (not to mention within our very own country) that deserve more attention and cash. Just look at our education system for Christ's sake! It's truly a joke. Fuck this, I'm not paying my taxes this year until the rest of America society (if we can even call it that) wakes up and smells something other than their morning starbucks latte. More on this later when i haven't been drinking...
