Guns I have something to say about this article.
More than half of the guns used in the rash of school shootings during the 1990s came from home or from friends or relatives, the government reported Thursday.
Between 1992 and 1999, 123 students used 128 guns in school-related homicides and suicides, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said.
Nearly 38 percent of the guns were from home and more than 23 percent of the guns were from a friend or relative.
"It is not enough for parents to eliminate unsupervised access to firearms in their home," the CDC said. "Parents should consider discussing access to firearms and safe-storage practices with their relatives and the parents of their children's friends."
Seven percent of the guns used in school shootings were purchased by the student. Only 5.5 percent of the guns were stolen.
The CDC did not know the origin of nearly 23 percent of the guns used.
Now, the CDC claims that only 5.5% of the guns were stolen. Unless the more than 61% that came from friends or family members were borrowed with their consent to use in a school shooting, they were stolen. Stupid political agendas. You know, I also want to add that no where in this article does it mention how ILLEGAL it was for these kids to a) shoot people and b) commit all sorts of other crimes in the process, including obtaining the guns.
